Deactivating a Monitor Remotely

 

You can remotely deactivate a Monitor (or a collection of Monitors associated with one configuration) by setting the expire instruction with the current time and date and updating the configuration.

 

    1     Open the e-Surveiller Station

    2     Right Click on the configuration for the Monitor you want to deactivate.

A pop-up menu appears (as shown below)

 

 

    3     Click Properties on the pop-up menu

The monitor properties window appears.

 

 

    4     Click on the Instructions tab.
The property sheet for the Instructions tab appears.

 

 

    5     Select Expire from the Instruction drop down list.

    6     Select the current time and date in the on field.

    7     Click Add.

The instruction is added to the Included Instructions list.

 

 

    8     Click Update to and follow the instructions to update the Monitor with the new instructions.

  NOTE: See Updating a Monitor for more information.

 

The Monitor(s) will automatically deactivate immediately it receives the updated configuration; by connecting to the Station or polling other configuration update locations.
