The Email(SMTP) log upload method allows e-Surveiller Monitors
to transmit log reports to an SMTP server, which
relays the log reports as email attachments, to
a specified email address.
Note the following settings when specifying an email(SMTP)
upload method.
SMTP
Server: This is the outgoing mail server that you use for when sending
email. If you do not know this, contact your ISP.
From:
This is the address where the email (containing
the logs) will appear to be sent from, specify
the email address for the email account you use.
(Your SMTP server may refuse to relay the email
if you specify a wrong email address)
To:
This is the address where the email (containing the logs) is
delivered to, most likely your own personal email
address.
User
ID: This is your email account name (User ID) for the server.
Password: This is the password for the email account.
You should set the fields above to the ones you use in your
own email software, such as Outlook Express. If
the monitored computer uses an ISP that blocks
other email servers, you'll have to specify SMTP
settings for that ISP.
