Every time the e-Surveiller Station starts, I see an “Error
listening for incoming connections on port x”
message (as shown below).

Cause
#1:
You installed a Monitor,
intended for another computer, on the Station
computer.
The Monitor is conflicting with the e-Surveiller Station.
Solution:
Deactivate the Monitor installed on the Station
computer.

Cause
#2:
You installed or started a program that listens for connections
on the e-Surveiller port.
The program is conflicting with the e-Surveiller Station.
Solution
#1:
Change the other program’s settings to listen
on another port.
Solution

Open
the e-Surveiller Station.

Select
Settings
from the View menu.
The
Settings
window appears.

Click
to select the Connection
tab

Change
the port number in the e-Surveiller
Station port field to a different number.

Click
OK.
A Network Settings Change window appears.

Click
OK.
NOTE:
Do not exit the e-Surveiller Station at this time.

Open
a Monitor configuration.

Click
to select the Upload
Location 1 tab.

If
the Upload
Method is set to Network Transfer, then change the number
in the Port
field to the new number you specified at step
4.

Click
Update
and complete the update process.

Repeat
steps 7 to 10 for all Monitor configurations in the
Station.

Manually
connect all remote Monitors, to transfer the update.
