When the Log Viewer is importing log files. I see a message
“xyz.Zlg is not a valid e-Surveiller Log Archive”,
followed by another message “Log Archive xyz.Zlg
could not be decoded, do you wish to delete it?”
(as shown below)

Cause
#1:
1
You installed an evaluation copy
of e-Surveiller.
2
You generated a Monitor with it,
and installed the Monitor on one or more computers.
3
You completely uninstalled e-Surveiller
without deactivating the Monitor.
4
You reinstalled e-Surveiller (evaluation
or registered).
5
The new installation cannot decrypt
the previous logs because the logs were encrypted
by a different e-Surveiller installation.
Solution:
1
Deactivate
the Monitor generated from the older e-Surveiller
installation.
NOTE:
See Deactivating
a Monitorfor more
information.
2
Delete
all logs that cannot be decoded when prompted
to.
The
error messages will stop after a while.
Cause
#2:
The logs being imported belong to another e-Surveiller installation.
They were not created by a Monitor generated by
your e-Surveiller Station.
Solution:
1
If
you have a multi-station set-up, contact SurveilleTech.
2
Delete
all logs that cannot be decoded when prompted
to. If the problem persists for a long time, contact
SurveilleTech.
Cause
#3:
The log file was corrupted before you received it.
Solution:
Delete
all logs that cannot be decoded when prompted
to. If the problem persists for a long time, contact
SurveilleTech.
