You can receive e-Surveiller
log reports in several ways.
- If you are monitoring computers on
a local home or office network, log reports are
automatically transferred to the station.
- The e-Surveiller station can automatically
download log reports uploaded by monitors to FTP
sites. You need to manually download all other
log reports transferred by other means such as
email.
- You can specify Auto-Check folders
in the station settings. The e-Surveiller station
polls these folders when checking for new logs.
NOTE: See Setting
the Station to poll for logs from specific folders.
- If you set a hotphrase for the monitor,
you can receive logs on the monitored computer
by minimizing all windows and typing the hotphrase.
- To import received log reports into
the log viewer database:
1
Open
the e-Surveiller log viewer.
2
Make
sure you are logged in.
NOTE:
For more information on logging in, see Opening the e-Surveiller
Log Viewer.
3
Select
Import Logs
from the File menu.
The Import Log Archives dialog window appears.
4
Select
one or more e-Surveiller log files and click open.
NOTE:
e-Surveiller log files usually have
a .zlg
extension
The log viewer will
import the selected log files into the database
so that you may view them.
NOTE:
If there are log reports currently
retrieved by the e-Surveiller station, the Import Logs command imports those log reports instead.
- You can also import log reports by
double-clicking the log file in windows® explorer.
