Transferring e-Surveiller Logs & Settings to a new Station Computer

 

On your old Station Computer:

    1     Open the e-Surveiller Station.

    2     Open a Monitor configuration.

    3     Click to select the Upload Location 1 tab.

    4     If the Upload Method is set to Network Transfer, then change the computer name in the Station field to the network name of the new computer which will have the new e-Surveiller installation.

    5     Click Update and complete the update process.

    6     Repeat steps 2 to 5 for all Monitor configurations in the Station.

    7     Connect all remote Monitors, you may have to wait for them to connect to the station to receive the update.

    8     Back up your e-Surveiller Logs & Settings.

On your new Station computer:

    9     Install e-Surveiller on the new computer.

 10     Exit e-Surveiller Station

 11     Close the log viewer if it is open.

 12     a    On Windows® NT, Windows® 2000, Windows® XP and Windows® Server 2003:

a.       Open %appdata%\SurveilleTech\e-Surveiller

b.       Delete the existing LogDB folder.

c.       Restore the backed up LogDB folder

 

b    On Windows® 95, Windows® 98 and Windows® ME:

a.       Open “%windir%\Application Data\SurveilleTech\e-Surveiller” (quotes inclusive)

b.       Delete the existing LogDB folder.

c.       Restore the backed up LogDB folder

 

 13     Your e-Surveiller Transfer is complete.
